Recently, a delegation from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM), led by Vice President Prof. Cao Peng, visited leading universities and institutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland to deepen international collaboration in education and healthcare.
During the visit, NJUCM signed two Memoranda of Understanding with Ulster University to jointly launch undergraduate programs in Food Quality & Safety and Human Nutrition. These initiatives mark a significant step in bringing high-quality global academic resources into China while promoting NJUCM’s strengths in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on the international stage.
By integrating Ulster University’s academic excellence in food science with NJUCM’s deep expertise in nutrition and health, the joint programs are designed to foster innovative, globally oriented talent in the field of health and wellness.
The visit also reaffirmed NJUCM’s ongoing collaboration with Ulster University on a postgraduate nursing program. In addition, the delegation held productive meetings with Queen’s University Belfast, the University of Galway, the Acupuncture Foundation Ireland, and Chinese diplomatic missions in both countries.
Through this series of engagements, NJUCM advanced discussions on TCM education, cultural exchange, and international outreach, further strengthening the bridge for China–UK and China–Ireland cooperation in traditional medicine and integrative health.
