Recently, a delegation from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM), led by Vice President Prof. Sun Xiulan, visited the University of Otago in New Zealand to accelerate preparations for the establishment of the China–New Zealand Institute of Smart Health.
During the visit, the two universities conducted in-depth discussions on key aspects of the joint institute, including curriculum development, faculty deployment, and institutional agreements. A final consensus was reached on all core components, paving the way for the official joint application planned for 2025.
The NJUCM delegation also toured several cutting-edge teaching and research facilities in pharmacy, artificial intelligence, and public health at the University of Otago, gaining valuable insights and exploring future areas of collaboration.
This visit marks a significant milestone in NJUCM’s international education strategy and injects fresh momentum into high-quality cooperation in the “Smart + Health” field, reflecting both institutions’ commitment to innovative and interdisciplinary global partnerships.
