From September 20th to 22nd, the 2024 International Conference on Classical Prescriptions, sponsored by Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine), and Jiangsu Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and jointly undertaken by the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, the International College of Classical Prescriptions, Shenzhen Pingshan District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other units, was held in Shenzhen, China. The theme of this conference was the inheritance, development, sharing and utilization of classical prescriptions.
Qiao Xuebin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, attended the opening ceremony of the conference and delivered a speech. He expected that through the convening of this conference, it would more effectively promote the high-quality development of the discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine, more effectively serve the construction of Healthy China, and more effectively promote the international dissemination of Traditional Chinese Medicine culture.
At the opening ceremony, Huang Huang, a renowned traditional Chinese medicine doctor nationwide and Dean of the International College of Classical Prescriptions, delivered a welcome speech. Dan Bensky, a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in Washington State, USA and medical editor of Eastland Press, and others delivered speeches respectively.
At the opening ceremony, the signing ceremony for the French Branch and Portuguese Branch of the International College of Classical Prescriptions, as well as the appointment ceremony for visiting professors of the International College of Classical Prescriptions, were also held.
At the main venue of the conference, Feng Shilun, Chen Yanli, Naoki Hirama, Marc Freard and others delivered keynote speeches.
This conference is also part of the series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. The university will, as always, support the development of the International College of Classical Prescriptions and the high-quality development of the cause of classical prescriptions, and strive to write a new chapter in the inheritance, innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine.
