NJUCM and Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) Establish Joint Laboratory

From 26 to 27 March, Hu Gang, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice Chairman of the CPPCC of Jiangsu Province and former President of NJUCM, and Qiao Xuebin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, were invited to visit the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and to participate in the activities of its 24th anniversary celebration.

 

During their stay in Macao, Hu Gang and Qiao Xuebin held talks with the Chancellor of MUST, Liu Chak Wan, and the Vice-Chancellor, President of MUST, Joseph Hun-wei LEE, etc. The two sides signed an agreement on the establishment of Jiangsu-Macao Joint Laboratory of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Cancer Prevention and Treatment of Tumors. During the meeting, the two sides reached consensus on further deepening the cooperation in academic research, faculty and student exchanges, talent cultivation and achievement transformation. Hu Gang and Qiao Xuebin congratulated the 24th anniversary of MUST, appreciated the development and achievements of the University, and expected the two sides to continue the friendship, join hands to seek common development, and deepen the cooperation between Jiangsu, Hong Kong and Macao with high-quality cooperation and exchange between the two universities, and contribute to the promotion of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.

Besides, Hu Gang attended the 24th Anniversary Celebration of MUST - Chinese Medicine Master Forum, and made a special report entitled Strengthening Multidisciplinary Integration Research and Promoting the High-quality Development of China's Pharmacology Discipline for teachers and students.

 

Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was founded in 2000 and has developed rapidly since then, becoming the largest comprehensive university in Macao. In the process of the creation and development of the University, NJUCM has sent many batches of teachers to support its construction, and the two sides have formed a deep friendship and established a close cooperative relationship.
