Hu Lihong, Vice President of NJUCM, and his delegation visited Shulan College of Chinese Medicine and China-UK Overseas TCM Centre (Manchester) on 18th November 2023 in the UK. Tang Shulan, President of Shulan College (UK) and British Chairman of the China-UK Overseas TCM Centre, gave a detailed report on the work of the College and the Centre.
Vice President Hu Lihong and his delegation visited Shulan College of Chinese Medicine.
Vice President Hu Lihong highly praised the contribution made by Tang to the development of Chinese medicine in the UK, and gave suggestions and guidance for the future work. He emphasised that in the post-epidemic era, the development and promotion of Chinese medicine culture is particularly important, especially overseas. Established for more than 30 years, Shulan College of Chinese Medicine has trained a large number of TCM professionals and will continue to contribute to overseas TCM education and talent training in the future.
That afternoon, the delegation of NJUCM went to visit the China Gallery of Manchester Museum and appreciated the various precious relics displayed in the museum, including the bronze acupuncture figure donated by Shulan College of Chinese Medicine.
This visit not only bridged the gap between China and the UK culturally, but also laid a better foundation for closer cooperation between the two institutions in the future, promoting the development of academic cooperation between the two sides in the field of Chinese medicine.
