On 15 October, the one-year countdown ceremony of NJUCM 70th anniversary was held in Xianlin Campus. All the university leaders, heads of relevant departments and colleges, representatives of teachers and students attended the ceremony.

The ceremony invites alumni at home and abroad and talents from all walks of life to gather at NJUCM during its 70th anniversary to celebrate the birth of the university.
Qiao Xuebin, Secretary of the Party Committee of NJUCM, and Cheng Haibo, President of NJUCM, unveiled the countdown board for the 70th anniversary.
Countdown started at the same time in Hanzhongmen, Xianlin and Taizhou campuses.
On the same day, the leaders attended the start-up activities of NJUCM Laboratory Animal Centre, student dormitory buildings, and the civil defense engineering construction of Zhongjing Square.
Qiao Xuebin pointed out in his speech, that the impressive achievements of the university not only benefit from the care and support from the leadership, but also owe a good deal to the alumni from all walks of life who dedicate to teaching and research, owe to the faculty and students of one heart and one mind, and owe to the successive generations of NJUCMer who have passed the flame and continue to struggle. On behalf of NJUCM, he expressed his respect and heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed to the development of the university.
