NJUCM Participated in the CHEXPO MACAO 2023

From 19 to 22 October, CHEXPO MACAO 2023 was held in the Venetian Macao Cotai Expo, which was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, guided by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and co-organized by the Trade Development Bureau of MOC. Ho Iat Seng, Chief Executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), Wang Deyang, Deputy Director General of the Trade Development Bureau of MOC, and Wu Haiyun, Deputy Director General of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, attended the exhibition. Li Wenlin, Director of NJUCM Library and Museum, led a delegation to Macao to participate in the exhibition.

 

The CHEXPO MACAO 2023 was officially opened in the morning of 19 October. Ho Iat Seng and other guests visited the Cotai Expo and made a stop at the booth of NJUCM. Li Wenlin introduced the history and construction of NJUCM to the delegation, and expressed her gratitude to the Macao SAR Government for promoting the development of cooperation and exchanges in Chinese medicine between the regions over the years.

This year, NJUCM joined hands with Kanion Pharmaceutical and Suzhong Pharmaceutical to co-exhibit at CHEXPO MACAO. Through brochures, posters, videos, products and interactive presentations to show the integration of TCM industry, teaching and research development of NJUCM, fully demonstrate the achievements of the development of TCM in Jiangsu Province and the ability of innovation and transformation of the “Comprehensive Health” through the synergistic development of education, talent, industry and innovation.

 

Teachers of NJUCM demonstrated traditional Chinese medicine exercises and woodblock printing technique, and interacted with the audience.

 

In order to vigorously develop the Chinese medicine health industry, Macao continues the previous mode and organizes the CHEXPO MACAO 2023 concurrently with the 28th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF), focusing on scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and cross-border integration, and innovatively fusing the essence of TCM with food, health care, leisure and other related industries, to promote the academic progress and industrial development of Chinese medicine, extend the unique cultural value of Chinese medicine, and build an ecosystem for modern Chinese medicine health industry.

 

After hosting the activities related to the Macau Jiangsu Week in 2021, NJUCM has once again participated in the CHEXPO MACAO, and will continue to strengthen the integration and development with Macao in the fields of Chinese medicine education, culture and industry. Through the close integration of government, industry, university and research, NJUCM will take this opportunity to help upgrade the TCM health industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the whole country, to promote TCM to the world and serve human health.
