On June 1, Angeline M. Pogoy and Gwendelina A. Villarante, Vice President of Cebu Normal University, and Norma P. Banania, Vice President of Benguet State University visited NJUCM. They were accompanied by Jiang Xiao, Executive Chairman of Philippine Association for Friendship and Education Promotion, Zhao Jun, Deputy Chairman of the Social Construction Committee of Nanjing Municipal People's Congress, and Gao Qingling, Chairman of Jiangsu Yue Xin Aged Care Industry Group. Sun Zhiguang, Vice President of NJUCM, attended the seminar, with relevant personnel from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the College of Aging Services and Management, the College of Nursing and other departments and colleges.

On behalf of NJUCM, Sun Zhiguang welcomed the delegation and gave a detailed introduction of the university's history, discipline construction and international cooperation development. He said that China and the Philippines have a long-standing good foundation of cooperation in Chinese medicine education, scientific research and talent training, and that NJUCM is making greater efforts to promote international education. He hopes that through this meeting, both sides can deepen mutual understanding, seek consensus on cooperation and build an excellent platform for teacher and student exchanges, scientific research and practical training.
Angeline M. Pogoy delivered a speech on behalf of the Philippine side. She introduced the history, faculty, disciplinary strengths and international development of Cebu Normal University, and hoped to further expand exchanges and cooperation with China in multi-disciplinary areas in the future. Norma P. Banania gave a brief introduction to Benguet State University.
The two sides exchanged views on issues related to Chinese medicine, medical science, nursing and elderly care services, such as exchange of teachers and students, short-term training programs, training of nursing and rehabilitation talents, cooperation in teaching materials and research projects, home-based care for the aged and the construction of overseas TCM center, and reached a consensus on in-depth and comprehensive cooperation and exchanges in the future. After the seminar, the delegation visited the Jiangsu Museum of Chinese Medicine.
