Xu Ying and her delegation visited the Mental Health Education and Counseling Center of NJUCM.
Xu Ying first came to the Mental Health Education and Counseling Center of NJUCM. She visited the reception room, expert consultation room, psychosomatic therapy room, sand tray room and catharsis room of the center, listened to the report on psychological counseling of NJUCM students, the research on the combination of Chinese excellent traditional culture and modern psychology, and the construction of four-level prevention and control education and training system of students' mental health, and communicated with the students in the center. She also exchanged views with those who had interned at the center, concerned about the employment situation of students of related majors, and affirmed the center's combination of mental health education and Chinese medicine culture. She pointed out that the mental health education and counselling for students at NJUCM has a deep history and a solid foundation. In the new era of development, the center shall continue to adhere to the "七心育人" idea of educating students. That is, to rejuvenate heart with benevolence, to express heart by reading and writing, to nourish heart with herbs, to heal heart with acupuncture and massage, to cultivate heart by exercises, to regulate heart with music, and to feed heart through diet. The center should continue to promote the four-level psychological crisis intervention network, carry out 24-hour psychological counselling services, provide adequate psychosomatic treatment through appropriate TCM methods and means, effectively serve the needs of students' mental health education, and effectively enhance the mental and physical health of university students.

At the National Local Joint Engineering Center for Industrialization of Chinese Medicine Resources and Innovative Medicines in Prescription and Jiangsu Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center for Industrialization Process of Chinese Medicine Resources, Xu Ying listened to the introduction of the center by Professor Duan Jin-ao, Director of the center and scholar on qihuang. She expressed her appreciation for the center's continuous efforts to crack the key scientific problems and common technical problems that restrict the high-quality and sustainable development of the Chinese medicine industry, and to uphold the principle of originate from farmland and return to farmland. The center has built an engineering system suitable for the biological, chemical and physical transformation and recycling of Chinese medicine waste and by-products, and has realized the targeted poverty alleviation model of Chinese herbal medicine industry by transforming scientific and technological achievements into industry cultivation and circular economy development. She pointed out that a high level of scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement is the only way to achieve high-quality development, and universities have always been an important source of scientific and technological innovation and industrial change, so Chinese medicine should grasp the opportunity and give full play to its advantages, and strive to contribute to the strength of Chinese medicine in national strategies.

Xu Ying also visited the Chinese Medical History Hall of the Jiangsu Museum of Chinese Medicine and expressed her full affirmation of the contribution made by the museum of presenting the long history of Chinese medicine, highlighting the achievements of Jiangsu TCM, revealing the cultural heritage of NJUCM and opening a window of Chinese medicine culture. She emphasized that Chinese medicine is the treasure of Chinese civilization, and that we should fully explore the unique historical and cultural resources of Chinese medicine in Jiangsu, so as to effectively make Chinese medicine culture come alive and Chinese medicine knowledge be used. As one of the earliest TCM colleges in China, NJUCM will deeply explore the connotation of TCM culture, strengthen the inheritance and protection of it, and actively promote the construction of the province with Chinese medicine.
