On June 18, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine held the 2022 Commencement Ceremony. 4,377 undergraduate, master and doctoral graduates participated in the feast online and offline. The graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony was conducted in the Academic Lecture Hall in Xianlin Campus, and broadcast live through online platform.

At the graduation ceremony, President Hu Gang sent a heartfelt message to the 2022 graduates, and encouraged them to be resolute to take on the mission, to overcome difficulties, not to be coerced, and to release energy and passion.
As a PhD graduate 30 years ago, Hu Gang in his speech looked back at the history and looked farward to the future. With 30 years of knowledge and action, he encouraged young students to shoulder the mission of the times, and strive to be the first on the track of national rejuvenation.
Learning is always on the way. Hu Gang hopes that the students will always keep the spirit of going forward and climbing up, maintain the thirst for new knowledge and explore unknown areas, and constantly enrich themselves in practice.
Professor Huang Huang, representative of the teachers delivered a speech.
"The thirst for knowledge in your body must be preserved forever! The passion for seeking truth must never be wiped out!" As a nationally famous Chinese medicine practitioner and Dean of the International Jingfang Institute, Huang Huang conveyed sincere blessings to the graduates in vivid language. He urged them to attain the courage to fight hard, to improve concentration and insatiable thirst for knowledge.

Representative of undergraduates Wang Xian from the School of Pharmacy, and representative of postgraduates Xu Tiancheng from the School of Acupuncture and Tuina delivered speeches respectively. They said that they will bring their youth and dreams together into their passion and dedication for work, and strive to become the pioneer of a powerful country.
Graduates presented a gift to NJUCM.
All the 2022 graduates carefully selected a mineral medicine "Stalactite" for NJUCM, formed by the accumulation of stalactites over time, implying the profound heritage of and gratitude for their alma mater. This special gift will be permanently collected in the Jiangsu Museum of Chinese Medicine.
Party Secretary Cheng Chun presented flags to volunteer representatives.
Among the 2022 graduates, 31 students actively responded to the call of the party and the country. With fiery dreams, they joined the teams of China's Far West Program (CFWP) and Rural Revitalization Strategic Plan, and wrote their own chapter of shining youth with the spirit of hard-working. Party Secretary of NJUCM Cheng Chun presented flags to volunteer representatives.

The 12 graduate representatives solemnly took the oath. "Today, we set out from here, carry the genes of our predecessors and become NJUCMers of the new era. Today, we set out from here, sharpen our hard-core youth to achieve brilliant life, and write the future of traditional Chinese medicine. Today, we set out from here, to build our lives for the people, to inherit the classics of traditional Chinese medicine, and to shoulder the mission of human health in the new era!"
