The First Initiation Ceremony for Freshmen of NJUCM and Dresden International University (DIU) Joint Education Program and the Joint Management Committee Meeting Held Online

On November 29th, the first Initiation Ceremony for Freshmen of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM) and Dresden International University (DIU) Joint Education Program and the Joint Management Committee Meeting were held online. Professor Hans Müller-Steinhagen, President of DIU, Professor Hu Gang, President of NJUCM attended the event, together with heads of relevant departments and colleges of the two universities.

NJUCM Vice President Professor Xu presided over the initiation ceremony, at which Hu Gang and Hans Müller-Steinhagen delivered speeches respectively. Hu Gang hopes that in the next four years of study, all the students can be free from fantasies, work diligently and cherish the time, in order to become a new generation of medical talents with ideals and a sense of responsibility. Hans Müller-Steinhagen sends his blessings to the first students, promises the school will offer them high-quality educational resources to broaden their horizon, and looks forward to meeting them as soon as possible.

 


At the Joint Management Committee Meeting, vice presidents of two universities respectively introduced the basic situation of the two universities, and the characteristics and advantages of international cooperation in running schools. Heads of rehabilitation therapy disciplines exchanged views on the training goals and concepts, current status of the subject development, and the difficulties and challenges facing the joint education program.


 

The two sides also conducted in-depth discussions on the course connection, teaching faculty, professional practice and other aspects of the joint education program, and stated that on the basis of friendly consultations, the two universities will share the teaching resources and experience, and cultivate technical talents who master the basic theories of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and also develop high professional ethics and strong interpersonal communication skills.
