On January 31, 2021, the signing ceremony of the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement between NJUCM and Yancheng Municipal Government was held in Yancheng.
Cheng Chun, the General Secretary of NJUCM, Hu Gang, President of NJUCM, Zhu Min, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission and Director of Provincial Administration of TCM, as well as Mayor and Party Secretary of Yancheng Municipal Government attended the signing ceremony.
President Hu Gang and Mayor Cao Lubao signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties respectively. According to the cooperation agreement, NJUCM will fully display the advantages of the education, scientific research, and medical service of Chinese medicine, make full use of resources in Yancheng, aim to build a large accumulation effect of TCM health industry cluster, forge a new pattern of coordinated development of the university and the city to boost regional health high-quality development, and to promote the double first-class construction of the university.
Mayor of Yancheng Dai Yuan pointed out in his speech that the city and the university thrives on each other. NJUCM, renowned as the cradle of higher education of Chinese medicine in China. The collaboration between NJUCM and Yancheng City to establish medical college will accelerate the gathering of high-quality education and medical resources, which will contribute to greater progress in the medical and health undertakings of Yancheng City and better benefit the people. Yancheng Government will provide the best resources, the best service for the cooperation, and make contributions to Healthy Jiangsu Plan.
Professor Cheng Chun remarked that the Yancheng city comprehensive strategic cooperation will reinforce the double first-class disciplines construction. It will comprehensively promote the university disciplinary build-up, talents cultivation, scientific research innovation resources and Yancheng city health development to further deepen the multifaceted, multi-level and multi-field cooperation mechanism, to integrate the resources of both sides of the university, to jointly build a new plateau of TCM innovation and talent training, and to improve the ability of both sides for innovation and development of TCM and the construction of Healthy Jiangsu.
Zhu Min stressed in her speech that she hoped Yancheng and NJUCM would take the opportunity of the comprehensive strategic cooperation, follow the principle of complementing each other's advantages, seek common development, and utilize the fruits of cooperation to help build a healthy Jiangsu.
