From September 17 to 18, jointlyorganized by the Global Trade and Economical Collaboration, Ministry ofCommerce and the Nanjing Municipal Government, the 2020 Global Service TradeConference was held in Nanjing, China. NJUCM as National Chinese MedicineService Export Base jointly built by the Ministry of Commerce and the NationalAdministration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, attended the conference andjointly held the Chinese Medicine Service Trade Collaboration Meeting withNanjing Commerce Bureau, Nanjing Commission of Health and Wellbeing, NJUCMaffiliated hospital Jiangsu Provincial TCM Hospital. Professor Sun Zhiguang,NJUCM Vice President delivered a report on the meeting.
Centering around the theme “ChineseMedicine in Nanjing, Service around the Globe”, the Chinese Medicine ServiceTrade Collaboration Meeting presented the innovational achievements in the fieldof Chinese medicine trade, and provided communication platform for the in-depthexploration and innovative development for Chinese medicine service trade.Professor Sun Zhiguang presented to the participating institutions from homeand abroad the construction achievements of NJUCM in the field of internationalcommunication and education, introduced the future planning of NJUCM as theNational Chinese Medicine Service Export Base, promoted to the globe NJUCM’s progressesin medical care, education, research and cultural exchanges with aim to furtherfacilitating the international collaboration in Chinese medicine. ProfessorZhai Yuxiang, Dean of Jiangsu Provincial TCM Hospital, and Ms Zheng Lijuan,Marketing Director of Nanjing Haichang Herbal Group introduced the Chinese medicineservice trade achievements and future planning respectively. Institutions fromGermany, Switzerland, UK, France and Philippines virtually joined the meeting.

Over the past few years, servicetrade has become the key engine in the transformational upgrading of economy,and is the important field for global economic and trade collaboration. In2019, NJUCM and its affiliated hospital Jiangsu Provincial Hospital had bothbeen selected as the National Chinese Medicine Service Export Base (two amongthe 17 institutions nationally). Since becoming the national base, NJUCM keptexploring and deepening the service trade in international education, medicalcare, research and cultural exchanges, making every effort to contribute NJUCMwisdom to the flourishing development of Chinese medicine service trade.
