On January 9, Jiangsu Provincial Governor Wu Zhenglong paid a special visit to the Grand Chinese Medicine Master Professor Zhou Zhongying, who is the recipient of national outstanding contribution award in Chinese medicine, and previously was the President of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. On behalf of Jiangsu Provincial government, Governor Wu Zhenglong brought the new year blessing to Professor Zhou, and sent him the most heartfelt appreciation and honor for the contributions that Professor Zhou has made for the Chinese medicine.
During the visit, Governor Wu Zhenglong said that President Xi Jinping attached great importance to the cause of Chinese medicine, and made some key instructions for us to follow as guidelines to develop the Chinese medicine in the new era. Jiangsu Province has a deep foundation in Chinese medicine and produced numerous renowned Chinese medicine doctors. Professor Zhou thanked the concern and care from the Jiangsu Provincial government. He also expressed that the instructions from President Xi had greatly encouraged Chinese medicine practitioners. It would be excellent opportunity to develop Chinese medicine.
