Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM is located in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, and is adjacent to downtown Xinjiekou. It was established in October 1954 when Premier Zhou Enlai personally appointed Ye Juquan, who is a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences as well as a famous TCM scientist as the first president. The Chairman of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province Tan Zhenlin issued the letter of appointment to president Ye. Mr. Guo Moruo inscribed the title "Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine" in Chinese.
