Founded in 1929, Wuxi Clinical Medicine School of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (the Third Hospital of Wuxi) has currently developed into a city-level general hospital integrating healthcare, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health protection and first-aid, and it is also the Grade III Level A hospital of traditional Chinese and western medicine and national key hospital of traditional Chinese and western medicine. Now, the Third Hospital is affiliated to Nantong University, and is also Wuxi Clinical Medicine School of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, teaching hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Jiangsu University and Yangzhou University, doctor cultivation base of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, master cultivation base of Nantong University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Suzhou University and Yangzhou University, standardized training base of national resident doctor (General practitioner) and endoscopy and minimally Invasive technology training base of Ministry of Health. Jiangsu Provincial First-Aid Burns Treatment Center, Jiangsu Provincial Burns Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Jiangsu Provincial East-West Medical Burns Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Wuxi Institute of Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Wuxi Burns Institute and Sheng Zhiyong Academician Work station are set up in the hospital.
