As the erawith enlarged health conception is coming, the demand of people in theprevention of illness and the maintenance of well-being has been everincreasing. The Preventative Treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicineprioritizes prevention over treatment, and has developed a series of theoriesand practices over thousands of years. With an aim to study, discuss and promote the TCM PreventativeTreatment, the Founding Conference of TCM Preventative Treatment SpecialtyCommittee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) and theFirst International Academic Conference on TCM Preventative Treatment was heldin Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Prof. Chen Diping, Chair, UniversityAdministrative Council, has been elected as Chair of the Specialty Committee.
