Prof. Jingchun MENG, aged 93, founder of the discipline of Medical Classics and initiator of the Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation program in China, has devoted himself to treating patients and nurturing clinical physicians. Three times per week for outpatient service, a routine that Prof. MENG has stuck to despite his age, was charged considerably inexpensive at RMB40 once, and yet Prof. MENG donated his life-time savings to NUCM as Students paying tribute to Nanjing Massacre victims subsidies and scholarships for young physicians. “As long as I am still alive, I will do my bit, and I think that will be a more meaningful life”, Prof. MENG said so, and lived up to the title of “Chinese Medicine Master”.The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education has initiated a media campaign to cover Prof. MENG’s events.
